[FTV Breaking News] The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced a cluster of acute hepatitis C infections in Taiwan. The initial cases involved two members of the same family in Banqiao, New Taipei City. Epidemiological investigation revealed that the infection occurred after they received nutritional injections at the Antai Songhe Clinic in Banqiao. Health authorities expanded the contact tracing, identifying 11 more confirmed cases of acute hepatitis C. They are now tracing 1,118 people who had received injections at the clinic, as they are highly likely to share a common source of infection.
