The Equipment Market is Broken
We headed to the Don Smock equipment auction in Pendleton, Indiana, looking for skid steers, excavators, attachments, trucks, and anything else worth bringing back to the shop. There was no shortage of equipment—but finding an actual deal was another story. We inspected everything from Chinese mini excavators and remote-control mowers to Bobcats, dozers, rollers, dump trucks, and some extremely questionable machines in the dead row. By the time the bidding started, several machines brought prices that made absolutely no sense. Would you have bought anything at these prices? Let us know in the comments.
