We Found What Was Killing This Dozer’s Power

This low hour government auction dozer has fought us every step of the way. We already pulled the transmission twice, and after finally getting the forward gears working, it was still down on power, blowing black smoke, and bogging under load. This time, everything pointed toward the turbo. Once we removed it, we found serious damage—and evidence that something had gone through it. We install a replacement turbo and put the dozer back under load to see if this 748-hour money pit will finally run like it should. Area Diesel Service supplied the replacement turbo used in this video.
