Missing Australian hiker Cara Severino has made contact with her family after being stranded on the Langtang trek when communications went down. Her parents say she called from Gosainkunda and is now attempting to make her way to Kathmandu on foot with a group of Nepalese hikers. It comes as a second catastrophic flood is threatening communities already devastated by the flood disaster, with two rapidly forming lakes on either side of the Nepal-China border at risk of bursting.
