Two Diving Experts Chose the Worst Option Because the Other Was Even Worse

On August 2nd, 2026, two of the most experienced technical divers in the region went into Lake Constance on an ordinary Sunday morning. Eighty metres down, something went wrong that neither of them could fix. What they did next is the part that still has not been explained. They abandoned their decompression and went for the surface, a decision every trained diver understands as a last resort, because leaving that depth without paying the debt does terrible things to a human body. He lost consciousness on the way up. She brought him the rest of the way anyway, and collapsed shortly after reaching the surface. Neither survived. This is the full story of that dive, from the walk into the water to the questions investigators are still working on. Viewer discretion is advised. This video is told with respect for the divers and their families.
