Event Horizon Ship Anatomy Explained - How Did This Starship Become a Gateway to Hell Itself?

Back when Event Horizon was first released back in 1997, it slipped so quietly past the loud promotions that I had no idea it would go on to become one of the cult classics in the genre. It was a commercial failure and the critics blasted the film. Also, it didn’t help that Paramount trimmed roughly thirty minutes of the gory footage. However, even though it was initially brushed under the rug as just another sci-fi horror entry, the legacy started to build over time as the fans discovered the true charm of the narrative. I found the story of this mystery spaceship in space rather intriguing, and now, with a couple of new comic book series, the franchise finally has the limelight that it always deserved. But, perhaps, more mysterious than the story itself was the titular ship, Event Horizon, the government black-project built to fold space itself that came back from its maiden voyage with something worse than vacuum.
