A high school girl was arrested for allegedly stabbing her father in the neck with scissors in an attempted murder. The father has died. The girl, a 17-year-old high school student from Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, was arrested on the spot on suspicion of attempted murder. According to police, the girl is suspected of stabbing her 49-year-old father in the neck with scissors at around 7:30 a.m. on the 2nd, during an argument at their home. The incident came to light when the girl herself called police, saying, "I had an argument with my father, and the scissors got stuck in my throat and I'm bleeding." The father was pronounced dead at the hospital. The scissors used in the incident were reportedly about 20 cm long and resembled tailor's scissors. The girl partially denies the charges, stating, "I admit the scissors stabbed him, but I didn't do it on purpose."
