Somalian MegaRipples: MegaFlood or MegaScam?

The "Erosion of Earth" channel has two videos that use Google Earth to explore landscape features in Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya that seem to give credence to a mega-flood in the region. You see megaripples, hummocks, scours, and other features that look to be attributable to water flow. In addition to aerial imagery, I bring digital terrain data into the picture. GLO-30 and FABDEM are the highest quality and highest resolution global digital terrain grids freely available today. I look at the terrain signal of these features in GLO-30 and FABDEM to see if that data can provide any conclusive evidence for megaripples. Spoiler alert! I remain undecided...
