SAPZ Trains 150 Kwara Farmers on Smart Farming for Food Security

The Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Project, SAPZ, in Kwara State has trained about 150 smallholder farmers across five local government areas on the use of high-yield seeds, crop protection products and fertilizers to boost food production and strengthen food security. Speaking at the opening of the training in Ilorin the state capital, the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Busari Isiaka, said participants were drawn from Moro, Asa, Ifelodun, Kaiama and Baruten Local Government Areas to represent various farmer clusters. He said the initiative would promote modern and smart farming practices.
