Andy Burnham is set to face his first Prime Minister's Questions, and an early test of his authority over Labour backbenchers, having already laid out his plans for Government. The Prime Minister made his debut at the Commons despatch box on Tuesday, outlining his ambitions to shift more power away from Westminster and into the regions, as well as returning public control over utilities and services. Mr Burnham attributed decades of sluggish growth to the legacy of Margaret Thatcher, the austerity era and Brexit, insisting his proposals to overhaul the "failed economic model" would breathe new life into Britain's economy.
