The Provisional Measure that allows for the elimination of import tax on international purchases up to US$50 has received 112 amendments from deputies and senators. The suggestions presented to Congress go far beyond the discussion of the so-called "blouse tax" and include proposals on retail, sports betting, medicines, counterfeit products, and logistics in the Northern Region. The amendments are not yet part of the provisional measure. It will be up to the rapporteur, Senator Leila Barros (PDT-DF), to decide which suggestions will be incorporated into the report that will be analyzed by the joint committee.
