Augusto Cury propõe revisão de cargos para reduzir gastos públicos

PUBLIC DEBT - During an interview with TV Globo, candidate Augusto Cury (Avante) defended the review of 50,000 commissioned positions as part of measures to reduce public spending. According to him, up to 30% of the positions considered non-essential could be cut. The candidate stated that an audit of public management should also be carried out to identify expenses that can be reduced and improve the efficiency of the administration. Cury estimates that the adjustment measures could generate savings between R$ 150 billion and R$ 200 billion. He believes the country needs to save between 2% and 3% of GDP to put public debt on a sustainable path.
