Usa-Iran, nuovi attacchi diretti dopo un mese di tregua. Missili su Hormuz

Images released by the Revolutionary Guards show a salvo of Iranian missiles. This is Tehran's response to the first American strikes on Iranian soil after about a month of military truce, in a war that has been raging for six months and is now reigniting. The United States announced yesterday that it had struck two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island, in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US Central Command, they belonged to the Revolutionary Guards and posed an imminent threat because they were allegedly being used to plant more mines in the strait. A few hours later, Iran declared it had attacked two American air bases in Jordan with ballistic missiles, citing "serious damage." However, the Jordanian military claimed to have intercepted eight missiles, without indicating their origin. The exchange comes at a time when hostilities appeared to have eased. In recent weeks, the Trump administration had focused primarily on economic pressure against Tehran, rather than on strikes. But tensions in the Strait of Hormuz remain high. Washington claims to have just completed clearing international sea lanes of mines. Tehran, however, continues to use the area as a military and political lever. And this new exchange of fire reopens the risk of a wider escalation in one of the most sensitive areas for global energy traffic. For more information: https://l-nk.it/fxA70T
