Oshkosh 2026: New Engines, Canards & the Garmin Panel Everyone's Talking About

Oshkosh 2026 like you've never seen it - a walk through EAA AirVenture with an eye for what most people miss. I don't do interviews. I just wander the grounds and film what catches my attention - and this year, there was a lot. From a two-thirds scale P-38 Lightning and a corner full of AirVenture Cup race planes, to the B-52 taxiing in, the Red Arrows flying "IMC," and a blimp doing aerobatics (yes, really). We get up close with new engines that could change homebuilding - Delta Hawk's hybrid and six-cylinder, a turboprop with a recuperator, and an all-electronic magneto replacement. I walk Canard Boulevard to see the Cozys, Long-EZs, Velocities and a few Rutan legends pulled from the museum. Plus the new Garmin panel everyone's talking about, a surprise Garmin challenger from two young founders, warbirds, night airshows with a canard trailing fireworks, and a 4:30 AM pancake breakfast for nearly 950 people.
