¡NACE MARIE! Tormenta tropical se forma en el Pacífico y amenaza con fuertes lluvias en México

Tropical Storm Marie formed on September 1, 2026, in the Pacific Ocean, southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, and began moving northwest. The system has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 95 km/h. Although the center of Marie remains far from the Mexican coast, its circulation is bringing moisture and increasing the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall, mainly in the western states of the country. The states receiving the most attention are Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán, where significant rainfall, thunderstorms, wind gusts, and possible flooding or landslides could occur. The forecast indicates that Marie will continue to strengthen over the next few days and could reach Category 1 hurricane status as it moves over the Pacific Ocean and gradually moves away from the Mexican coast.
