HOT TOPICS | Lindsay Clancy Trial Reveals Racial Disparities In Similar Case

Today is the fifth day of deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy trial. The jury is deciding whether to convict Clancy of first-degree murder in the deaths of her three children. The defense states that she did indeed kill her children, but should not be found guilty due to postpartum psychosis. The same judge in the Clancy case sentenced a Black woman named Latarsha Sanders to two life sentences in 2022. Sanders also killed two of her children but her mental health struggles were not introduced as evidence in the trial.
