Putin: No negotiations with terrorists in Kyiv “They are requesting personal meetings. But no negotiations will be conducted with terrorists,” Putin emphasized. According to him, the US-mediated negotiations are currently on hold. However, the president said that the envoys sent by US President Donald Trump, in particular, were welcome in Moscow. When asked at the press conference why Moscow wasn't militarily eliminating the leadership in Kyiv, Putin said that representatives would still be needed for future negotiations. Just last week, Zelenskyy threatened to deploy up to 1,000 long-range drones daily. He also confirmed media reports that the US had requested a cessation of attacks on Moscow and St. Petersburg on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of last week. CIA Director John Ratcliffe traveled to Moscow unannounced during that time. Furthermore, according to Zelenskyy, another country has requested a pause on attacks against Vladivostok. The Eastern Economic Forum, with international guests and an appearance by Putin, is taking place in the major Russian city on the Pacific coast from Tuesday to Friday. Ukrainian attacks have not been reported in this Far Eastern region, which is over 6,000 kilometers from Ukraine.
