"Orgy Of Violence!” Police Describe Notting Hill Carnival As ‘War Zone’, Survey Finds

Almost 90% of officers who responded to the survey said they have felt unsafe while working there. But the event’s organisers said it is part of an “anti-carnival agenda”. Hundreds of thousands of revellers fill the streets of west London over the August bank holiday weekend with a display of costumes, dancing and music. However, the survey found officers felt they were treated like “lambs to the slaughter” at the event.
