If you look closely at my 10 o’clock while I’m sitting in the catapult, you’ll actually see the Catapult Deck Edge Operator push the button that launches the aircraft. This launch takes place in the U.S. 5th Fleet Area of Operations. In this video, I’ll walk you through the entire process, from the taxi to the catapult shot itself. I also explain how pilots use the JHMCS (Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System), the cutting-edge helmet that I'm wearing in the jam.
