The Mossdale Caverns are a notorious cave system located in the Yorkshire Dales, England. About 5km north of Grassington village is a limestone crag called the Mossdale Scar. Beneath it is a highly dangerous labyrinth of tunnels that on 24 June 1967, saw a team of 10 cavers descent, leading to events that would become known as the worst caving disaster in British history. The events of that day have been compared to the Nutty Putty Cave disaster for a particularly heartbreaking detail. This video was made possible by work compiled by Mick Melvin in 2017.
