A large-scale rescue operation is underway in the village of Myla, Buchansky district, after a Russian strike on a warehouse and a subsequent detonation. As of now, 27 people have been confirmed dead. Another 42 people have been injured to varying degrees, including four children. Seven of the victims have been hospitalized. Authorities warn that the number of victims may not be final. Among the dead is the head of the Dmytrivska community, Taras Didych. According to KOVA, he was one of the first to arrive at the scene of the tragedy. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Didych was rescuing people. 381 people were evacuated from the danger zone, including 59 children. About 50 residential buildings were damaged, as well as a boarding house for the elderly and people with disabilities. More than 300 employees of the State Emergency Service are working at the site, dismantling structures, extinguishing fires, and searching for people. According to preliminary investigation data, on the evening of August 28, a Russian drone crashed or hit the territory of the enterprise, after which a large-scale detonation began. Zelensky stressed that ammunition cannot be stored near residential buildings, and stated that those responsible for this must be held accountable.
