Three months before her children died, Lindsay Clancy typed out exactly how she was feeling. A State Police trooper read every word of it to the jury. Lindsay Clancy is charged with three counts of first degree murder in the deaths of her three children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, at the family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She is presumed innocent. Her defense does not contest the acts. It contests whether she was criminally responsible for them, arguing postpartum psychosis and involuntary intoxication from the medications she had been prescribed. The last stretch walks the following evening minute by minute: searches, a call to a pharmacy, and a completely ordinary conversation between two parents about takeout.
