Woman Accused Of Photographing Lindsay Clancy Jurors Pleads Not Guilty

A 56-year-old Massachusetts woman has been charged with a crime after police found photographs of jurors in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial on her phone. Dawn Light pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated intimidation of a juror in an arraignment this morning (Wednesday, September 2) in Plymouth District Court. Police saw her in a blue Toyota in the courthouse employee parking lot where jurors have been parking their cars. They found photos of jurors leaving the courthouse in the deleted items folder on her phone. Massachusetts State Police issued a press release about Light's arrest: "At approximately 3:40pm on September 1st, a person was taken into custody by the Massachusetts State Police outside of the Plymouth District Courthouse. DAWN LIGHT, 56, of Sutton, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned today on one charge of Intimidation of a witness, jurors, or person furnishing information in connection with criminal proceedings MGL Chapter 268, Section 13B." The nine women and three men haad deliberated about 23 hours when they resumed this morning about 9:30 a.m. They said on Tuesday they were deadlocked, but Judge William Sullivan told them to continue deliberating. 00:54 Prosecutor: "The Commonwealth is requesting $50,000 cash bail, as well as a number of conditions, including stay away from the courthouse court grounds, stay away from all potential jurors, as well as any witnesses related to the Lindsey Clancy case, as well as refrain from disseminating any videos, photos that the defendant may have on an iCloud related to this incident." 01:34 "To stay away from the courthouse and the court grounds. Officers responded to the employee parking lot where there was a restricted area, and they found a blue Toyota parked in the back of the parking lot, backed in facing the restricted area that was blocked off. They did make contact with the person inside that vehicle." 03:00 "She stated that she was waiting to see if Lindsay Clancy would come out of the building. When state police asked her if they could look through her phone at her photographs, she did consent. She gave them the photograph. She gave them the phone in which they began to look through her photos." "At that time, they did not see any videos or photographs of any individuals in the parking lot. They then asked her if they could look through her deleted folder, if she could pull up her deleted folder. At which point, she stated she did not know how to do that. She let troopers get the phone and go through her deleted photos. In the deleted folder's file, they did locate a video of a number of individuals coming out of the courthouse building from the vantage point that she was located in. State police then spoke with court officers, who were then able to confirm that those individuals in those videos were the jurors in regards to the Lindsay Clancy trial." 04:14 " Officers were able to look at surveillance video from the courthouse where they did see this defendant's car. She pulls into the parking lot, and they are able to track her through the parking lot, through the front of the courthouse, and then she parks in the back employee lot" "Ms. Light's actions yesterday are extremely serious. Ms. Light is a retired registered nurse who's worked as a registered nurse for over 25 years. She is now on a fixed income and unable to post this bail. She's resided in Sutton, Massachusetts, for over 30 years, and she raised her children there. She is not a flight risk. Obviously, has very strong ties to our community, and in addition, Your Honor, as Your Honor just inquired, my client has no record. She's 56 years old and has been upstanding citizen. This is a complete misunderstanding."
