A French fishing vessel sank off Plymouth in southwest England, leaving two missing and three survivors. A major search and rescue operation was launched on Saturday evening, August 29, after the Maranello, a French fishing boat, sent a distress signal to the Stradale, another trawler sailing nearby, reporting "a problem with its fishing gear," according to a press release from the Atlantic Maritime Prefecture.
