Moción de censura contra ministro de Defensa por operación en Guaviare que dejó tres menores muertos

Representatives from the Historical Pact, the Green Alliance, and the Peace Constituencies filed a motion of censure against Defense Minister Jorge Mora in the Congress of the Republic. The motion comes after the military operation carried out on August 27 in El Retorno, Guaviare, against FARC dissidents, in which three minors, allegedly recruited by the armed group, were killed. The congressmen question the planning and execution of the operation, the precautionary measures taken regarding the possible presence of minors, and the minister's statements after the events. While acknowledging that the responsibility for recruitment lies with the armed groups, they maintain that the State must guarantee protective and precautionary measures during military operations.
