Investigators later recovered a bloodstained jacket and shower curtain, with DNA linking Carly and both men to the evidence. A search of the desert uncovered Carly’s belongings at a burn site, before her body was finally discovered 67 days after she vanished. Both men were convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
