Page critica la gestión en Ceuta: "El mando único estaría antes si no hubieran sido vacaciones"

Emiliano García-Page has harshly criticized the government for its handling of the Ceuta migration crisis and for taking almost a month to formally establish a unified command to coordinate the response of the various administrations. The president of Castilla-La Mancha lamented the government's delayed reaction to the mass influx of migrants on July 30. "The unified command would have been in place much sooner if it hadn't been during the summer holidays. And it's sad to have reached this conclusion," he told the media on Wednesday. Page also demanded that the government fulfill its commitment to return those who entered Ceuta illegally, arguing that otherwise, it could encourage the arrival of new migrants. The Socialist leader also agreed with Pedro Sánchez in describing what happened as a "violation of Spain's territorial integrity." Regarding the discrepancies between the Ministries of Defense and the Interior concerning the CNI (National Intelligence Center) alerts prior to the mass entry, Page acknowledged that he does not know what happened, but warned that the contradictions between the different versions generate "unease, disquiet, and uncertainty."
