Police have arrested an American national on suspicion of arson and attempted murder in connection with a hotel fire that occurred last month in Chatan Town, Okinawa Prefecture. According to police, the suspect, Posedion Roberson (32), an American national and self-proclaimed company employee, is suspected of setting fire to a hotel in Chatan Town around 3:30 a.m. on the 15th of last month, attempting to kill the guests. In connection with this incident, a man in his 50s from Osaka Prefecture was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state and is currently receiving treatment. On the 21st of last month, police arrested Roberson in the act of trespassing in connection with another building intrusion case and were continuing their investigation when suspicion of his involvement in the Chatan Town hotel fire grew stronger, leading to his re-arrest.
