The Greenland ice sheet looks like a motionless white surface. In fact, a whole hydraulic system operates under it: subglacial lakes, channels, seasonal floods and pressure that changes daily. In July-August 2014, about ninety billion liters of water burst from under the ice to the surface, forming a crater with an area of ​​​​about two square kilometers and a depth of almost eighty-five meters - and humanity learned about this event only years later.
