No more pretending: Russia behind sabotage in Germany | Scott Lucas

Suspected sabotage has struck a Polish facility producing drone components, while Germany has formally blamed Russia for an explosive-laden drone found near a Ukrainian military supply aircraft at Leipzig Airport. “Russian activity in Europe dates back to the cyberattacks against Estonia in 2007,” says Scott Lucas, Professor of American Studies at University College Dublin, in World Talks. Lucas argues, however, that a turning point may have been reached. “The Germans made it very clear that if the drone had detonated near the Ukrainian cargo aircraft, the airport could have suffered serious damage,” he says.
