We travelled to Medina aka Madinah, in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 المدينة المنورة Medina is the 2nd holiest city in Islam and up until a few years ago was completely off limits to non-muslims like us... In this video, we explore what it’s actually like to visit Medina as foreign non-Muslim travellers. From arriving in the city, walking around the streets, seeing the atmosphere around Al Masjid an Nabawi, and experiencing one of the most sacred places in the Islamic world from the outside. This was one of the most unique travel experiences we’ve ever had. We wanted to see how welcoming Medina felt, what tourists are allowed to do, what the city looks like today, and whether Saudi Arabia really is opening up to travellers from around the world.
