Major Dick Winters on Captain Herbert Sobel | Band of Brothers

Major Dick Winters discusses Captain Herbert Sobel, who is portrayed by David Schwimmer in “Band of Brothers”. As the first commanding officer of Easy Company in WWII, Captain Sobel is depicted as a petty tyrant. The paratroopers, including Dick Winters (Damian Lewis), develop a loathing for Captain Sobel and fear he will get Easy Company men killed if he leads them in battle.
