El Gobierno inicia un plan para rescatar la economía de Ceuta
The Government approved on Tuesday a Royal Decree-Law of urgent measures to mitigate the economic and social impact of the migration crisis that erupted in Ceuta at the end of July. This measure mobilizes €309 million for the remainder of 2026, in addition to another €50 million in ICO (Official Credit Institute) loan guarantees. The package, approved by a Council of Ministers meeting dedicated almost entirely to this issue, represents 16% of the autonomous city's GDP and concentrates an extraordinary volume of resources in "just four months" to "support the productive sector, strengthen public services, and address the consequences of migratory pressure."
