Senator Omar Aziz presented a favorable opinion on ending the 6x1 work schedule, reducing the weekly working hours limit from 44 to 40 hours and guaranteeing two days of rest per week. The rapporteur decided to maintain the text approved by the Chamber of Deputies and rejected the 36 amendments presented, most of them by the opposition. The leader of the opposition in the Senate, Rogério Marinho, criticized the proposal and stated that the text does not represent a project for the country, but a political initiative of the PT (Workers' Party).
