In Aomori Prefecture, a linear rainband formed early this morning, bringing torrential rain. Some areas experienced record-breaking rainfall exceeding 200 millimeters, impacting daily life. Roads in residential areas are flooded, and the pouring rain is flowing like rivers. The linear rainband in Aomori Prefecture resulted in a record-breaking 24-hour rainfall of 218.5 millimeters in Ajigasawa Town. In addition to Ajigasawa Town, "record-breaking short-term heavy rainfall" was declared in the neighboring cities of Hirosaki and Fukaura, with an estimated 90 millimeters of torrential rain falling in one hour. Reporter: "This is the center of Ajigasawa Town. The area near the intersection is flooded up to knee-deep, and some cars are submerged." According to local firefighters, at least four houses have been confirmed to be flooded, all elementary and junior high schools in the town are closed, and JR local train services have been suspended, impacting daily life.
