Belarra ve "cierto racismo" en las manifestaciones a favor de Ceuta

The Secretary General of Podemos, Ione Belarra, criticized the demonstrations called for Wednesday by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in support of the people of Ceuta. Belarra believes these mobilizations exude "a certain racism" and questioned the approach of those who promoted the demonstrations. According to the Podemos leader, the problem is not only related to the situation in Ceuta, but also to the origin of the people arriving in Spain. In this regard, Belarra pointed out that what "bothers" certain sectors is that the people arriving in the country are "Black and Moorish," referring to the perception that, in her opinion, exists about some of the migrant population. The Podemos leader's statements come a day before the demonstrations promoted by the FEMP, which aim to show support for Ceuta in light of the situation in the autonomous city. The controversy has once again placed immigration, Ceuta, and racism at the center of the political debate, as well as the response of institutions and political parties to the arrival of migrants in Spain. Belarra's words are expected to generate further reactions in the coming hours. #ceuta #podemos #ionebelarra Want more stories?
