Viking River Cruise Low Water Update: River Cruise or Bus Tour?

Low water levels continue to impact European river cruises, and after sharing my experience with a Viking River Cruise ship swap on the Rhine, I received SO many comments from other travelers sharing their own recent experiences. Some cruisers experienced ship swaps. Others missed ports, spent hours traveling by bus, or had major itinerary changes. And one of the biggest questions I keep hearing is: What happens when the river cruise you paid for starts looking more like a bus tour?
