12 News Campaign 2026 Debate: RI Lieutenant Gov. Primary (D)

This week on a special edition of Newsmakers: a debate between the four Democratic candidates running for lieutenant governor, incumbent Sabina Matos and challengers Sue AnderBois, Cindy Coyne and Xay Khamsyvoravong. The winner will face Republican John Loughlin in November. Tune in for upcoming 12 News debates ahead of Rhode Island’s Sept. 9 primary election -- the candidates for attorney general debate live Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. from Roger Williams University Law School, and the candidates for governor debate live Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. from Rhode Island College.
