Presidential candidate Renan Santos (Missão) spoke out after Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), restricted part of his ticket's digital campaign. In a video, Renan described the decision as "unfair," "illegal," and "persecutory," and stated that he will appeal to the TSE itself to try to overturn it. "I will not give up, I will fight in court," he declared. The decision, taken on Sunday (30) and released on Monday (31), determined the suspension of electoral advertising on 16 profiles that, according to the TSE, were reported after the deadline, in addition to suspending transfers from the Electoral Fund and the ticket's participation in debates and interviews. Renan had initially reported a website and a profile on X, which can continue to be used. The measures also affect his vice-presidential candidate, Aroldo Medina. According to Toffoli, there was a "strategic omission" in communicating the accounts used for electoral advertising, a requirement stipulated in the legislation. Renan disputes this interpretation and claims there was a technical problem with the recording. In the video, the candidate also linked the decision to the demonstrations he called for against Toffoli and made accusations involving the Banco Master case, without presenting, in the reproduced statement, evidence that these episodes motivated the legal action.
