Support Blast, a new independent media outlet: https://www.blast-info.fr/soutenir “It’s easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism”: it is to disprove this adage that two researchers coordinated and published a book entitled “Post-Capitalist Worlds.” The two academics start from the premise that it is necessary to move beyond the capitalist model, but that this is too often seen as an unrealizable, unattainable utopia. They therefore attempt to imagine what other, non-capitalist systems would look like. In terms of health, agriculture, education, and production: how would our societies be organized, and based on what political and economic models? How could it work? To attempt this projection exercise, they gathered a whole host of figures—anthropologists, sociologists, historians, activists, philosophers, physicists, engineers, and legal experts—to examine this question, and they compiled their thoughts and disagreements into… 900 pages.
