Quincy Institute scholar: US out of options as oil shock threatens midterms

Speaking with CGTN's Anand Naidoo on The Heat, Executive Vice-President of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft Trita Parsi provides a critical breakdown of the US-Iran standoff. Parsi notes that Trump's tactical threats have led to a stalemate rather than a breakthrough. He points out that if Washington's core objective in the Strait of Hormuz is keeping oil traffic flowing, a joint Iranian-Omani maritime arrangement might ultimately be an acceptable outcome.
