Märtha Louise ontroostbaar: prinses zoekt troost bij broer Haakon tijdens eerbetoon koning Harald

Princess Märtha Louise was visibly overwhelmed with grief as the Norwegian royal family visited the sea of flowers outside the Royal Palace in Oslo to pay tribute to King Harald. Together with Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, she laid red roses in memory of her father. Märtha Louise struggled to contain her emotions, but in a tender moment she reached out and gently stroked the arm of her younger brother Haakon as they shared their grief. The family took time to read the personal messages and look at the countless flowers left by the Norwegian people. Haakon and Mette-Marit even knelt down to take a closer look at the tributes. As the family prepared to return to the palace, Queen Sonja paused for a moment, taking in the enormous crowd that had gathered to support them. With her hand over her heart, she silently thanked the people for standing by the family. The emotional visit ended with the royal family and the crowd singing the Norwegian national anthem together. King Harald died on Friday at the age of 89. His funeral will take place on September 9.
