Meanwhile, a tropical depression off the southern coast of China is likely to intensify and approach Taiwan on September 3-4, but is not expected to move towards Thailand. Regional Weather Conditions: Northern Region: 70% chance of thunderstorms, with heavy rain in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Lamphun, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, and Phetchabun. Northeastern Region: 80% chance of rain, with heavy rain in some areas. Heavy rain is expected in some areas of Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani. Central Thailand: 60% chance of rain, with heavy rain in some areas of Lopburi, Saraburi, and Kanchanaburi. Eastern Thailand: 70% chance of rain, with heavy rain possible in Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Waves will be approximately 2 meters high, exceeding 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms. Southern Thailand (both coasts): 40% chance of rain, with a possibility of rain in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang Nga, Trang, and Satun. Waves will be approximately 1 meter high, exceeding 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms.
