SURYA.CO.ID - The discovery of a woman's body in a large cardboard box in Bandung City, West Java, on Tuesday (September 1, 2026), shocked residents of Babakan Ciparay. This case came to light thanks to the testimony of a Lalamove pickup driver named Tegar, who admitted to being suspicious from the start when he received a delivery order from the alleged perpetrator, identified as SDP. Tegar explained that he was asked to transport a large cardboard box from the Dunguscariang area to Kopo, Caringin. While helping to load the package into the car, he felt an unusual weight. As they traveled along Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Tegar grew increasingly suspicious due to the persistent strong odor. He repeatedly asked the perpetrator what was in the box, but was told it only contained metal and clothing. Convinced something was amiss, Tegar finally turned the car onto Jalan Terusan Suryani, near the Pasir Koja traffic light. In a crowded area, he asked the perpetrator to unload the box. The perpetrator initially denied the incident and claimed he wasn't the one carrying the body. However, residents who witnessed the incident immediately reported it to the authorities. The large box the perpetrator unloaded turned out to contain the body of a woman. This discovery immediately caused a commotion among local residents. Police then moved quickly to secure the scene and take the evidence to the Bandung Police Headquarters. Tegar also noted that the perpetrator appeared frightened throughout the journey carrying the box containing the woman's body.
