SURYA.CO.ID - KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, familiarly known as Gus Kikin, has been officially elected as the General Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) for the 2026-2031 term. Gus Kikin was elected as General Chair of PBNU by Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi (AHWA) at the 35th NU Congress held at the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java. "We unanimously decided to elect KH Abdul Hakim, or Gus Kikin as he is known, as the General Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board for the 2026-2031 term," said AHWA member Anwar Iskandar at the plenary session of the 35th NU Congress on Monday (August 31, 2026). Gus Kikin previously topped the selection process after securing the majority support of voters in attendance, from branch administrators to regional administrators of NU across Indonesia.
