On the night of 28 August 2026, KCB Head of Data Protection Rosemary Chemutai Koech Kimwatu — popularly known as TechWakili — was buried at her parents’ home in Chepseon, Kericho County. Hours earlier, a Nairobi court had issued orders stopping the burial without her husband’s involvement. By the time the order reached the village, she was already in the ground.
