Everything Netflix Isn't Going To Tell You About Raygun (Legal Threats & Lies)

Raygun was all anyone was talking about after her performance at the Paris Olympics in 2024 & on September 1st 2026, Netflix is set to release a doc about the famous & infamous olympian Rachael Gunn, widely known by her stage name, Raygun. Raygun was the biggest loser of the 2024 Paris Olympics, & the entire world became fascinated with Rachael Gunn & her performance, with people everywhere recreating the infamous kangaroo hop, although some individuals wanting to recreate rayguns performance were met with legal threats from Raygun. Edit I watched the 'doc' this morning & it is actually worse than I thought it would be, & what annoyed me the most is how they manipulated the footage of the YouTuber's I mentioned, Lili & Jessi from Do We Know Them, as if they were spreading the misinformation about Raygun's husband when they were actually calling it out & correcting what other people were spreading. After the manipulated clip, Raygun's husband immediately says 'people spread this fake story without doing any basic research', hello? This is exactly why I wanted to do this video, I'm so sick of these Netflix 'docs' that are just promotional tools for the subjects& so full of rubbish. I really want to do a follow up on my Coffee, Cults & Cats channel to talk about some of the absolute rubbish in this "doc". 'The story of an Australian university prof in her late 30’s becoming the worlds most well known breaker is a fascinating story in itself, but there is a lot more to the story than most people know, with the most interesting parts of the Raygun saga, being what happened after the olympics. When it comes to the Netflix documentary however, the untold raygun story is being made in collaboration with & featuring raygun and her team & so it seems as though Netflix is going to shy away and even leave out the legal threats, intimidation, the familial crypto & financial fraud, & the fact Raygun & her team went after & shut down a small comedian raising money for women’s shelter. So that’s what we’ll be discussing today, what actually happened before & after one of the olympics most memorable performances ever. We’ll also be exploring everything Netflix, Raygun & her team are going to gloss over & even ignore in the heavily promoted documentary.
