President Abelardo de la Espriella addressed the nation in a new presidential speech in which he announced decisions regarding security, armed groups, reconstruction, and emergency response in Colombia. During his address, the president announced the end of three dialogue processes with armed groups under the so-called "total peace" initiative and reiterated his order to the Public Forces to regain territorial control and combat criminal organizations. De la Espriella also presented progress and announcements for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the August 10 earthquake, as well as a recovery plan for Tolima, which has been affected by wildfires.
