Tate Brothers Testify at Bail Hearing -- and Claim It Was All an Act

In Day 1 of their Miami hearing on pre-trial release, Andrew and Tristan Tate took a massive legal gamble: they took the witness stand. Under blistering cross-examination from federal prosecutors, their primary defense was that the “Top G” persona is completely fake—just choreographed entertainment. But confessing under oath that you deceive people for a living undermines your credibility before a federal judge. In addition, my prediction is that complaining about jail food and lack of privacy won’t meet the strict “special circumstances” threshold required for bail under 11th Circuit extradition precedent. Neither will their pending trial in Romania. And by dragging out appeals against extradition instead of confronting the charges in the UK, they are only guaranteeing a longer stay in federal detention.
