Exjefe de inteligencia vincula secuestros en Trujillo con disputa entre bandas

The leaked audio recordings reveal the codes used by members of criminal organizations during a kidnapping in Trujillo. According to Colonel Anhuamán, terms like "floor" and "fish" have specific meanings within these gangs. The expert stated that the kidnappers initially had orders to kill the victim. However, they allegedly negotiated his release in exchange for money, which would demonstrate internal disputes and the economic interests of these organizations. Ahuamán indicated that the Police and the Armed Forces must strengthen their joint efforts, leveraging their diverse intelligence capabilities. He also considered it necessary to move toward predictive intelligence that allows for anticipating the gangs' actions. Finally, he affirmed that investigations must focus on identifying the ringleaders and not just capturing the hitmen. To this end, he emphasized the importance of coordination between the Police, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Judiciary, and the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE).
